Other Finance options

Take it away is an Arts Council initiative designed to help more people get involved in learning and playing music. The scheme allows individuals to apply for a loan of up to �2,000 for the purchase of any kind of musical instrument, and pay it back in nine monthly instalments, completely interest free.

Take it away is open to everyone (over the age of 18), but primarily designed to help those who might otherwise be unable to afford an instrument appropriate for their needs.

HARTNOLL GUITAR CENTRE offers the Take it away scheme to all our customers (over the age of 18). The financial checks can be done in moments and it offers the fantastic opportunity to purchase a guitar in 10 easy payments.

NOTE: Under the Arts Council rules, Take it away can only be used on purchases, where an instrument is the main item being purchased. Unfortunately it cannot be used for buying amps unless you are buying a guitar as well!

IN STORE: the Take it away scheme is specifically designed to be as easy to use in store as possible, and is specifically for the purchase of musical instruments.

The procedure is as follows:

We fill in a form with information you give us.

We call the finance company for credit approval, which takes just a few moments.

Once approved (a few minutes), we take a 10% deposit by credit or debit card.

Forms are completed and we keep certain copies to send to the finance company whilst you receive the confirmation pages.

You may now take the goods away.

After your purchase you will receive the instalment information directly from MIFCO (the Musical Instrument Finance Company).

Further payments will commence on or around the 30th of the month following purchase.

ONLINE: although this scheme is designed to be run through shops for face to face transactions, it can also work via mail order, although goods cannot be shipped for 14 days from the date you sign the forms.

The procedure is as follows:

You call us and we fill in a form with information you give us.

We call the finance company for credit approval, which takes just a few moments.

Once approved, we call you back and take a 10% deposit by credit or debit card.

We send you some forms which you must read thoroughly and complete IN FULL and return to us.

After 14 days from the date you signed the forms we then dispatch the goods to you.

After your purchase you will receive the instalment information directly from MIFCO (the Musical Instrument Finance Company).

Further payments will commence on or around the 30th of the month following purchase.

Other Finance Options

Take it away is the only 0% APR scheme we can currently offer, but for purchases over longer periods or on items not covered by Take it away (such as amps) we can offer an easy-pay scheme at 18.5% APR over periods from 6 to 48 months.

Example, buying a Gibson Les Paul at �1499 on an interest bearing scheme:

Deposit required: �149.90, loan amount is �1349.10. Re-payments would be as follows:

6 Months 12 Months 18 Months 24 Months 36 Months 48 Months

�236.20 �123.13 �85.52 �66.78 �48.14 �38.98

The procedure to approve the finance is exactly the same as for Take it away.
